Students need to go to their tutor group at 8.50am, except Year 7 who go straight to the Hall for a welcome assembly.
On Friday last week, year 6 students from nearby primary schools came into Southam College to sample a little bit more of secondary school life. Students were pleasantly surprised when they discovered that poetry can actually be great fun!
All teachers from the English department proved that poetry could be both enjoyable and exciting and the year 6 students were spitting perfect rhymes like famous rap stars after only two hours! They were soon taking part in high paced rhyme-offs and later created and performed their own poems like true pros.
Congratulations to the winning teams: ‘The Full Stops’ and ‘The Brilliant Brackets’!
Well done to all of the students who got involved! You were brilliant.
We still have places available on our twilight sessions for students attending schools outside of our cluster area.
Please book your session by clicking ‘Twilight Sessions’ at the top of this page.
